This is cool! Put it in the sidebar, click on the button and copy discs
without having to load any programs. Is this is first commercial software
that features a gadget like this?
It's available with the new version of Nero 7.

7.7.5.1 version is available now, it has apparently got all the Vista issues
fixed as well

I've got that version, and I can't find the gadget. Can you tell us where
it is?

If it installed correctly, it should already be available in your 'Gadget
Library' to add to the sidebar.
If not, look in Program Files\Windows Sidebar\Gadgets\. If
NeroDiscCopy.Gadget is not there, it did not get installed--perhaps you did
a custom install and skipped it?

Yes, it has to be selected during the install process. I did a Custom
install, perhaps Typical install doesn't add the gadget

What version of Nero? I have Nero installed (v7.5.9.0) but no gadget.

Just not there or anywhere. I wonder if it's an x64 issue.

I did the following -- at least three times:
Uninstalled Nero
Used the Nero cleanup tool
rebooted
Reinstalled 7.7.5.1
Selected Custom
Did not deselect any module
Did clear file associations for Photos, Videos, and Music
Selected only Add to auto-play and Put shortcut for Smart Start in Quick
launch.

Nowhere did I see the option for Disk Copy, which is the module that has the
gadget.

Checked ProductSetup; says there is an update for ProductSetup 1.6.13.0
However, when I try to update, there is a connection failure to the server.

I've posted a message to Nero Support.

The Copy Gadget is in the Tools section (or somewhere near the bottom of the
list)

Maybe for you. I've spent the whole day installing and uninstalling Nero.
I just do not get that option. Anyway, I'm done fooling with it, at least
for now. I've reinstalled it with only Burning ROM and the Tools.

I have 7.7.5.1 and did a full install and see no gadgets. Are you
pulling our leg?

No, I can see it on my sidebar right now. For some reason I can't post
attachments to this newsgroup, as I have a Snipping Tool picture of my
sidebar which proves the Nero gadget exists!

lol, I'm messing with you. don't get upset :0) Still, I wish I could
figure out why I don't have it. :0(

Do have Vista x64 installed? I don't see it, either. Response from Nero
was "known issue."
