Anyone know how to get Nero 7 Ultra Edition to install in Vista Ultimate? I
have tried all day and no luck. The part that I got installed won't
uninstall. Neros' web site is no help. Thanks.
 
I installed parts of Nero 7 yesterday in Vista Business, but Vista Ultimate
has DVD-writing capability of its own so that may be a very different
situation.
 
Which build of Nero 7 are you using? Build 7.7.5.1 is Vista-compatible, but
it does pay to do a custom install and deselect the added bloat.
 
In my successful installation on Vista Business I installed only the
following:
.. StartSmart - all
.. Burning ROM - all
.. Tools - all
.. Special features - only Fast CD-DVD burning plug-in

The Nero site (http://www.nero.com/nero7/enu/index.html) notes that "Windows
Vista Certification applies to Nero Burning ROM and Nero Express", which I
took as a warning to avoid other parts of the "Nero 7 Ultra Edition
ENHANCED" package under Vista.

I have installed the entire Nero 7 Ultimate suite, minus the packet writing
software, under Vista.

There are no issues with the latest version of Nero 7 Ultimate and Vista.

There's a VISTA update today in Windows Update that is for
compatibility and I see Nero 7 listed.

I must have missed it. This thing is updating daily or hourly instead of monthly like XP.
