Nero 5 & XP

I have Nero 5 which I wanted to put on my new laptop. I read somewhere
previously that I was to install Nero 5 and then go to the website and
download the upgrade to Nero 5.5 as that is the earliest version which XP
supported. I have been to the website but you can only get a patch from 5
to 5048 not 5.5. What do I do now? You appear to have to have 5.5 on first
then there are upgrades to that. I can't see a way to get 5.5 to start with.

Nero does not offer a free update from version 5 to version 5.5.

I would try installing version 5 then update, you may find it works with XP
anyway. I think I have had version 5.0 working with XP & incidentally I have
version 4.0 with the highest update working on XP in compatibility mode.
