NEone getting spam: subject -->"Partnership required"?

HI,

This is the only place where I ever disclosed my "non-
junkmail" e-mail addy ... and now I'm getting junkmail in
them~ @_@ And it's ALL from a "S. African bank" who
wants to "give" me money. All I have to do is give them
my bank account number! haha ... *roll my eyes*

I was just wondering if anyone else was getting these?

It's a common scam. I've received them from people claiming to be from
several different countries.

*Everyone* else is getting them! But you should be aware that there are
spambots that harvest e-mail addresses from newsgroups, so the addresses
you use in newsgroup posts are not private. What many of us do is
"antispam" the addresses we use in posting to the newsgroups, by adding
some extra text to the address or transforming it in some way that it's
easy to tell people how to undo. See my own reply-address for one of
the simplest forms of this. So far, that's kept my spam to a minimum.
