neither computer sees the other

I am running xp pro and xp home, with a wired pc and
wireless laptop and have run the network setup on each
computer. I can access the internet through the router on
my laptop, but neither computer can see the other. they
do not show up in my network places or in any of the
network maps. Why can't they see each other? they both
run zone alarm but I adjusted the settings so networking
is allowed. file sharing, etc. is all set but they can't
see each other at all! Please help! Its been months!
 
Many of us have the same problem , but our posts get erased instead of answered , expect yours to go the same way too...

Not so many. I already answered the other post.

And posts always get erased after a short time. That's how news
servers work.

You can still look them up in any of the archives, like the one
on Google.

I don't know. I can get them ok. Are you using news.microsoft.com as your
news feed?
