Sometime i enter a URL or click on a link, instead of
going to that page, another page opens up:
www.netspry.com. I have to hit the back button and click
on the link again or re-enter the URL. I used Spybot S&D
to scan for spyware and i got 0 result.
How can I remove it, it's not a popup so popup stoppers
wouldn't help.

If someone have any suggestion, please help!!
Thanks

I have had this problem myself. I also used Lavasoft Ad-ware. I set
both netspry and the link that this spyware initially sends me to my
restricted list - but no go. This thing owns my browser - thank god
for Firefox

Try this:

Delete history, cookies, temp files and bin.

Also the temp files in:

Start / Run (Execute). Write the expression %temp% as it is (with
the symbols.) It's just your Temp file. Delete all. Back to CONFIG 1
(you should see it written in a link on the left hand side of the screen or
you can use your explorer to find it in the tree.) Inside it you have Temp
Internet Files and inside you have Content.IE5 whose files can be also
deleted except "index.dat" file which is impossible to be deleted now.

Download, update and run the following programs (some of them can't be
updated):

1. CWShredder - http://aumha.org/downloads/cwshredder.zip

2. delcwssk
miniremoval_coolwebsearch_smartkiller.exe
http://www.spychecker.com/program/miniremovalcw.html
or a different one:
http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/downloads.html

3.Eliblank: (It will change your start page to www.google.es, take it into
account.)
http://www.zonavirus.com/descargas/EliBlank.exe

4.EliCWSA
http://www.zonavirus.com/descargas/EliCWSA.exe

If all this fails and you have WinXP follow this instruction:

http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPOR...2001111912274039?OpenDocument&src=sec_doc_nam

By disabling your system restore you eliminate all your previous restore
points and therefore all the virus hidden in "System Volume Information",
the file where previous restore points and some virus are kept.

In the process run your updated antivirus and also these programs
(previously updated):

Spybot S&D - http://www.safer-networking.org/en/index.html
Ad-aware - www.lavasoftusa.com
a squared A2 "Trojan Remover" - http://www.emsisoft.com/en/

Enable your system restore again following the link instructions above.

After that you should run your previously updated antivirus and antispy
programs again in safe mode (F8.)

Biack to normal mode to scan your PC with the antivirus once more just in
case... Also with online antivirus:

tried that, doesn't work

First eliminate any scumware.

Note that AdAware and SpyBot S & D will each catch some things the other
won't. Also, each needs to be updated with the program's update function
before every use, even when just downloaded. There's also a lot more to do
than just those two programs. CWShredder is also available here:

If nothing there helps, please post back to this thread.

Why not use Firefox instead?

We're trying to deploy firefox across the company here, just because
it limits the browser to browsing only. No matter how many antispyware
you have on the system, new ones are coming out and people always
instictively click on YES. There you go.

Not to mention stuff like new.net cannot be cleaned and windows will
have to be installed. I've been using firefox for 2 months now, it
really limits browsing to browsing only, and you can make all IE
instances hide.
