needs to be repaired or isn't a database file

Using Windows 2000 and Access 2000 with an Access 2000
backend. Multiple users and throughout the day we need to
repair the database front end and get the message
that "You or another user has unexpectantly quit Access or
is not a database file". It give you the option to repair
and clicking yes always repairs it. Just not sure why it
keeps needing to be repaired. Anybody have a clue on this?

Thanks Tony but that page does not help. I guess you have
no clue to the problem?

Ah, in another posting you indicate the client workstations have
changed from NT 4 to Windows 2000.

This very much sounds like the OpLocks problem. Have you set/created
that registry key on the server and rebooted it? See the OpLocks
section at the Corruptions FAQ page at my website.

I can not say I have. I guess this means SP3 will do me no
good until I figure the registry thing out? If that is
the case, Thank-you for your help. Your page has helped a
lot. We just need to figure this problem out big time.
