on my current lan, I have run out of address's. I would like to add a new
subnet to my LAN so that I can add more PC's and various other hardware.

What would be the easiest way to do this? My current subnet mask is
255.255.255.128 I tried making it 255.255.255.0, but that seemed to kill
some connection.

If you use DHCP, that will be easy to increate the IP addresses. Or use DHCP Server Superscopes.

255.255.255.0 is perfect,...it will only "kill" connections if you do not do
the mask change *everywhere* it is found. You would then have to deal with
any discrepencies caused by routers and other LAN segments if they are not
compatibly addressed.
