Hi,
I had used XP for many years but when my PC died, I had to buy a new one
which had Vista installed. I like Vista but am having compatibity problems,
as I'm sure others are!
I have an external hard disc, which I use for backup. I also have the
original XP installation CD.
Can anybody tell me if I can somehow reload XP to use as an alternative to
Vista, for using the software that is incompatable. I would prefer to keep
XP well away from my Vista OS, as I've read in the forum that it eliminates
restore points and so if I could use my external hard drive it would be great.
I have sorted out a lot of the software issues - printer driver, photo
editing etc. but my accounts package, PDA software etc. won't work.
At the moment, I'm just trying to get an idea of what is possible, as
incompatability is such a head-ache.
