Need to see what's running at bootup and when

win2kpro, slow plodding bootup.

Is there an easy way for me to view, perhaps actually at bootup, a list of
the apps and drivers that are loading and/or initializing so that I can
easily see what's clogging my system at startup and login?

At least is there a utility that can siphon through some event list
somewhere?

Thanks

PS. I have /startup control panel 2.8/ which tells me the fundamentals:

HKLM/run
HKCU/run
run once's
startup common
startup user

But I'd like to know what's actually choking, and if it is in fact any of
these.
