Are there any websites that can tell me how to transfer all my Outlook 2007
settings and emails to another OS installation.

The old partition is no longer in use, but I knowhow to extract registry
keys and stuff from it.

What I am looking for is a page like this one, but this is for Outlook
Express and Windows Mail:
http://www.oehelp.com/backup.aspx

You can start here: http://www.howto-outlook.com/howto/backupandrestore.htm

The account definitions are in the registry and the usual recommendation is
to create a new mail profile and add them back in manually. Reusing mail
profiles (perhaps by a registry export and import) is fraught with peril
when changing operating system versions.

Thanks. I'll have a look at this, but there is no mention of Outlook 2007.
Is the new version pretty much the same then, in this respect?

Cheers

Thanks, I easily imported my POP3 mail, and my IMAP and Hotmail accounts can
be downloaded again, and I will forget about settings. But to save time, I
wanted to import the Accounts, but I can't see how (Ouitlook 2007). Do you
know?

Thanks

No where in the article I cited (or in this newsgroup, for that matter) does
anyone (except those unfamiliar with Outlook) sugggest importing from a PST
is ever the way to add prior data. You don't import a .doc file into Word,
you don't import a .xls file into Excel, and you don't import a .pst file
into Outlook. That's what File>Open>Outlook Data File is for. Importing
loses data.

Accounts are not, as I said, importable, unless you want to export from and
import to disparate registries, which is probably not a good idea. I'll
repeat: it's best when changing operating systems to recreate your mail
profile manually.

Okay. It's just bit of a hassle as I have 6 of them.
