I'd like to install a file with an msi extension (*.msi) - but I get a
message that says the system administrator won't allow me to do it. Since
I'm the only user of this stand-alone notebook, how do I tell Windows XP
Professional to give me permission to install this program? Thanks......

If you are the only user, then log on using the local administrator
account and run the MSI file. The account you are using is not a
member of the administrators group if you are getting that error
message.

I happen to be looking for "Proplus.msi"; which XP Pro says I need for
converting Works files.
Could U tell me where to find it, perhaps U have it ?

I'm not sure - but I think I only have one accolunt and that is Local
Administrator. So, that must be the way I'm logged on. But, since the msi
file won't run, I guess I'm incorrect. Please tell me what to do to log on
as local administrator. Thanks.....

The actual message I get is: "The system administrator has set policies to
prevent this installation." Since I am logging on as the system
administrator, I must have to give myself permission to run this file. What
do I have to do?
