I have a dll that a co-worker wrote which needs .NET 1.1 to work. The server
I am installing it on already has 2.0, probably installed when I put SQL
Server 2005 there.
I cannot make this dll work on any machine that has .NET 2.0 on it. However,
if I go into IIS and tell my default web site (which uses this dll) to point
to .NET 1.1, it works.
I don't have the time right now to look into why it works in 1.1 and not
2.0. What I'd like to do is have 1.1 on this server. However, for some
reason, 1.1 doesn't show up in the IIS dropdown; only 2.0 does. When I try
to install 1.1 from an exe I downloaded some time ago. It won't let me
install 1.1.
Is there any way around this?
