I have an application i wish to host on a Windows 2003 Terminal Services
Server. Since the app will be accessed by users accross the globe, I suspect
i will need to use "User CALs" and not "Device CALs" ... my questions are:

1: With User CALs, I need 1 user cal for each individual user accessing the
system, correct?

2: Do I need to have the connector license installed? I think it gives me
the legal license to allow users NOT employed by the company whom owns the TS
licenses and server licenses to connect to the TS Server... is that correct?

3: Is there any other licensing I need to be aware of that may be required?

Scenario: Application runs on Win2k3 Terminal Services Server. 100 users
(not employees) who purchase aaccess to my application will connect to the TS
to access the application.

I know this is a lot to ask... the darn licensing is just soo confusing
anymore I want to make sure I am legal.

thanks in advance.

Yes, you need 1 TS CAL for every user. Since you have no control
over the users and the number of workstations that they might use
to connect, Per User is definitively the best choice in your
situation.

I don't think that you qualify for the External Connector license,
since these users are paying customer.

Q. Who qualifies as an External User?
A. An external user is a person who is not an employee, or similar
personnel of the company or its affiliates, and is not someone to
whom you provide hosted services using the server software.
