Im not gonna make up some bull story about im an admin and i lost the
admin password. I use a notebook from work with win2000. I can log on
but I want to install AIM and install a driver for the wireless
feature on the notebook but when I try it says that I need to log in
as admin.

Ive searched around the net and alot of the stuff out there change the
password. i dont want to do that for obvious reasons.

Can anyone point me to some urls to help me out?

Hey at least im honest as to why I want the password.

You could try this one: http://www.downseek.com/download/21384.asp,
keeping in mind that your popularity rating will dip sharply when (not if!)
the IT people in your office find out what you've been up to. A much
better way would be to discuss your problem openly with them instead
of playing games behind their backs.

First, ask your employer's HR department about the normal
consequences of stealing and/or misusing company property. Secondly,
ask the consequences of deliberately sabotaging company property,
sabotage being the view most IT departments will take of the
installation of any AOL product. If you're comfortable with the
consequences, you can then go ask the IT department for the password.

And being honest about wanting to steal isn't any great virtue.

Good point! I battled with AIM on my pcs in the days of the old
Netscapes. If anyone were to stick it on one of my pcs they might not
get fired but they would not have a very nice 15 minutes with me, as
they say in french "...un mauvais quart d'heure".
