Need to freeze a moving clip

I am trying to figure out how to pause, freeze or hold still an image from a
movie clip.

I'd like to freeze a frame and hold it for a few seconds before
transitioning to the next scene.

How do I do this?

Try this...

Split the video at the point you wish the
pause. Then do a screen capture of the
frame you want to pause on....save it to
your hard drive and then import it into
Movie Maker. Now...add it to the timeline
(between the two clips).

You can drag the Double Red arrows on
the captured image (in the timeline) to adjust
the duration.

Both the 'Split' and 'Capture' (take picture)
buttons are just below your view window.
