Need to Enter Chinese: Problem Setting Up

I need to enter Chinese (into online forms like gmail, backpack.com &
such)
I have the East Asian languages installed.

so I did "Add a Language":

First problem I notice, I get the "Language Bar" but I do not see these
language icons
