Hello

Wondering if there is a way to enable NetBIOS over TCP/IP remotely? We have many machines with NetBIOS disabled. We have a remote management tool to push out anything (scripts, programs, etc...) that we need to, but on some virus fighting issues, it really helps to have NetBIOS enabled

Is there a registry key we can modify, or some kind of script we can push to it to enable NetBIOS over TCP/IP

Thank you.

Nope. Poses too much of a security risk.

Unfortunately you will need interactive access to the machine.

Have you seen this in the TechNet Script Centre?

Configure NetBIOS Use on a Network Adapter

Hope this helps
