Hello:

Is their any method that can destroy the Hard Disk Data. It was
because I have an Locked HD but I have lost the unlock password. I want
to reuse this HD. How can I destroy the Locked status?

Thanks!

What do you mean, "locked"? Are you referring to a
system bios password?

If it's a software lock that's embedded on the drive, and
you just want to destroy it and all other information on the
disk, go to IBM's website and download either their Wipe
or Zap utilities, which can be run from a bootable DOS
floppy: http://www.microstorage.com/Harddriveinfo.htm

If its a CMOS password, you can sometimes move the jumper
on the motherboard (most times its near the battery) to
the clear position, then to the standard position and that
will reset the CMOS settings.
