many centuries ago when Dbase was king all one had to do was to type copy
structure to xxxx and then xxxx was a new table. I have Access 2000 and
nowhere can I find an easy way to create a new table identical to one I
already have. Can someone help me? Thank you

Database Window > Tables Tab
Point to any Table, Right-Click > Copy
Right-Click Empty Space > Paste
Enter a Name, Select 'Structure Only', Click 'Ok'

Same as almost anything else in Windows. Copy and paste.
There is an extra step that allows you to copy just the structure or the
structure and data.
