need to convert corrupt files....help plz

I have 2 files that, i'm guessing, were too big to be saved properly, so they
can't be accessed through WMM. I can play them w/ other media applications,
but I can't seek through them (move to any point in the movie)...this is
frustrating, because they are 2 hours in length....how can I convert/
rerecord these files and make them manageable?
