I have around $150 to spend on a video card.

I want something that has a high overclocking success

It will be cooled by a waterblock so if the card is EASLY voltmoded
that might be an option.

You know how to volt mod, overclock and install waterblocks but you can't
find your own ****ing card?

Well, I do know how to OC a system (which the reason i own a water
cooler) but video OCing is new to me. The last card I had would not OC
at all and was a 9800 Pro R350 but a friend of mine fried the card
while voltmoding it.

SO. Since I just lost one card I thought I'd ask someone with a little
more knowledge than me, is that ok???

If you get an nvidia card use this to overclock.

Waterblock cooling does NOTHING to prevent a GPU(or CPU) being
damaged by overvoltage stress on the silicon junctions or insulating
layers. Voltmods are VERY BAD NEWS !! Excess voltage stress above
the chip manufacturer's Absolute Maximum Voltage Ratings can result
either in instantanous or long-term failure (progressive degradation
of the dielectric) Obviously placing such modding-toys in the hands
of technical non-literates is dangerous. Where there is a sucker there
is money.

BTW, the absolute ratings for GPUs are seldom made public. They form
part of the confidential information between the chip-manufacturer and

the board-manufacturer.

The X800 GTO2 must be a candidate. Forget the extreme overclocking,
open up extra pipelines.
