Hi all,

I neeed to built a data base for files shared on a local
network .
I would like any user to be able to change the location
(path) of any file if this change is reflected on the
database. So everyone can easily find it again
Any idea (example are prefered as I'm an amateur on
access !)how it can work ?

Thanks in advance

Doing it is easy. Making sure it is maintained will be a nightmare.
I forgot.
I didn't have time.
I didn't share it with you.
Why is there a path to a document with *my* name on it that I don't have
rights to in the database.
I thought I typed in the right path but I forgot where I put it, can you
help? That's why I hired you.

Shared files kept in one location seems to work best in most places I've
worked.

Thanks for your advice Mike !

Let's say files are kept in the same location, just
comments or informations are added by users.

Can I import directly files path information and store
them in my base fields ?
Arnaud.

The dir command will allow this.
