Need three pictures with text on one slide?

I'm trying to do a slide show that has three pictures on one slide and the
text would be sufficient for all three pictures.

I'm not sure that you have a question there. You can insert pictures and
make them any size you want and move them anywhere you want on the slide.
You can then either adjust the size of one of the placeholders and move it
under the pictures, or you can create your own text box or text boxes and
move it or them under the pictures. I don't think there is a layout that is
set up like this already, but you can easily do it without a layout, or, in
2007, you can make your own layout.

If you look at your installed templates in Office 2007, you will find an
album template. There are a variety of slides incorporated in this template
and several which will suit your purpose.

I use them all the time.
