We Live For The One We Die For The One

So thats three settings i want :)

Want to set all my fans upo with this switch, 2 rear, side and top and
front fan.

7 volt or off when wordprosesing ect.

I'am in australia so a URL, to a Aussie, Tandy or Dicksmith
electronics store would be the best to help me out, or a similar staor
in Australia.

I mean to the actualy switch i want, the url :)

Also some help on wiring the switch up would be AWSOME.

If you can help Please do, i love tweaking, also when all fans are in
7 volt, i'am going to call it STEALTH mode :), all i need is some
vocal anouncment saying this and ill wet myself :/

Stealth Mode activated.

Also NOSIY as **** all mode activated for the 12volt option :)

Thanks again.

snip...

You can do what you describe with a DPDT (double pole double throw) toggle
switch as long as it has a center off position i.e. the toggle has left,
center, right positions. Wiring is: common on side one goes to the fan's red
(+) lead the two other terminals on this side go to the +12V supply. Common
on the other side goes to the fan's black (-) lead; one of the other
terminals on that side goes to ground while the last remaining lead goes to
the +5V supply. Thus flipping the switch to on side gives you a connection
between +12V and ground, flipping it the other way gives you a connection
between +12V and +5V giving you 7V across the fan(s) while leaving the
switch in the center position turns the fan(s) off. Personally I wouldn't
want to have the center position since shutting off the fans entirely has
GOT to be a bad idea on most systems...

Use a DP3T (On-Off-On) toggle switch. Actually an SP3T is sufficient
if you can find one.
Connect +12v to the fan positive lead.
Connect the fan negative lead to the middle of the switch.
On one side of the switch, connect ground.
On the other side of the switch, connect +5v.

If you do that, your fan tachs won't work. There is a way around that,
but if you fathomed how, you wouldn't be asking what switch to get.

You need a two pole switch. One pole connecting to a logic circuit
which will cause your PC to speak the phrase (either a system command,
or with a voice recorder chip)
