need startup file

Got hacked. Laptop powers up but does not go to XP. Blank Screen. Use
Recovery disk but it takes more than 8 tries. Does anyone know what I need
and where I can get it?

The conventional list of startup files is
BOOT.INI
NTLDR
NTDETECT.COM
In case of trouble after reinstallation I also
save and recopy c:\windows\system32\WPA.DBL
