Hi,
The plastic brackets, to which the cpu fan clips, broke on my ECS P4ITA
mobo. This enabled the fan to disengage from the CPU rendering the unit
inoperable.
I have been unable to find a fan whose clips connect to the tabs on the 423
socket, and have been unable to locate replacement brackets.
Can someone direct me to a source for the brackets, preferrable, because the
fan, an Intel unit that came with the CPU, is fine and I really don't want
to buy another one if I don't have to.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

ps: The ends broke off the brackets, except for one. Because of spring
cllip pressusre I don't think gluing them together will hold.
pss: The cause of this was I dropped the computer last spring, and must
have fractured the brackets minimally then, but over time, with vibrations,
spring pressure, etc., they eventually let go. mea culpa.
