Hello

Running OL2000 with a few Com Addins.

The following is a small issue and it really does not bother me BUT I would need to(myself) on how I have created this very minor annoyance.I have been backtracking on everything that I did inside OL but have not come upon the steps that created this.

The Issue.

When I open OL I immediately get a blank unaddressed New Mail form in my Draft Folder. As soon as OL starts collecting mail (pop3 SPA)of the Server this New Mail form jumps over to the Delete Folder instantly on the first mail that is posted in the preview pane. At this point I am still able to see it in the Delete Folder but on the 6th mail that is posted it somehow magically disappears from the Delete folder never to be seen again until I repeat the above process.

It has now become a small curiosity factor and a need to know(find out) on what and how I triggered this issue of mine.

Thank you all in advance of your inputs.

Disable your COM addins one by one until that behavior stops. Then you
know what is causing it.

Thank you for your advice Ken. That is the first route I proceeded with. I not only disabled all but I removed them inc. their entries in the hive. Also proceeded to put all setting(options) to default.Still there. I run OL again over the top.I am running out of ideas as to where this switch can be. Removing OL and reinstalling is an option left open but this is such a minor annoyance that I will not go as so far. I really want to find the address of this error so I can further understand this little gem.

Well, I've never heard of Outlook doing something like that on its
own. So some external code is doing it. Aside from any addins or COM
addins are you using any sort of anti-virus software that scans
incoming emails as they come in?
