Hi,

I currently have a DC with AD installed. I am in the process of buying a new
DC and want to move all AD to this new computer.

Can I backup the all users/groups/computer and GPO and restore on this new
DC.

Basically I want to replace the old DC with a new DC in a new system.

How can I manage this?

Why not just bring up the new server as DC in the existing domain so the
directory replicates? Then you can grab the FSMO roles onto the new server,
migrate all data across the network (make sure permissions are right) and
you're good to go.
 
Just install the new machine as a new DC in the same domain. It'll
automagically copy all the users/groups/computers information.

If you then want to decommission the first server, run dcpromo on it to
demote it from a domain controller to a member server.
