Hi,

I need a small driver for the Canon SmartBase MPC 600 F and/or HP PSC 2500
series (2510).

Printers work fine if you install from CD. Wich is a huge installation. What
I need is a small installation only for print functionality.

I need it for a Terminal Service session from a home user (who owns a Canon
SmartBase MPC 600 F / HP PSC 2500 series (2510)) to a Windows 2000 server.

And I don't want to install the huge installation on Windows 2000 server.

I don't know if this helps and I'm probably not telling you anything
new, but the default window drivers are usually the smallest without the
bells and whistles.

I think you only want to print text?
Looking at <http://www.linuxprinting.org/show_printer.cgi?recnum=HP-PSC_2500>
we see that "Printer supports direct text printing with the `us-ascii'
charset", so you should be able to use the "generic" printer driver to
print plain text.

Additionally, it also says that this is compatible with the HP DeskJet
990C, that probably has a smaller driver if you want to print colour
and graphics.

But what to do if I can't find the default pritner driver for this type of
printer?

I'm not sure what you are saying. Windows finds the driver, not you.
Plug in the printer and let it load the driver, hopefully automatically.
Have you tried this?
