I sometimes want to send a file containing private text to
a friend or family member. I and my recipients are running
Win XP but the files I send them are of many types, e.g. MS
Excel, .rtf, .txt, .odt and even XML files. I need a way to
encrypt a given file so that the recipient can easily decrypt
it. Using a keyword for encrytion and decryption is acceptable.
I believe that the Win XP file encryption/decryption system is meant
to secure a file on the local disk and is not made for transmitting
files to other people as I want to do.
Surely other people have needed to do this but I cannot find a
simple encryption program/feature to do it. Any ideas?
Thanks,
Billy
