I'm looking for CD rippers similar to ISO Buster.

The programs need to rip CD's (DVD's would be a bonus) to ISO. The ISO
should preferably be 1:1. In other words, it should mount with Daemon Tools,
have the correct volume label and auto-start correctly when burned.

Ability to defeat copy protection isn't needed, but is OK.

Thanks!

DDump = D(isc)Dump copies CD's to ISO's. (No DVD's afaik)
The CD-R tools include a program to create images as well.

This is for a little old man to run a multiple CD program from virtual
drives. I think DDump would blow his mind! <LOL>

Well, the only really easy alternative I know is Nero - and that is
definitely not Freeware, not even close. :(

You could try the CD-R Tools, though. IMO they are easier to use. (At
least, once one found all the files one need...)
Try this link: http://www.sbox.tugraz.at/home/t/tplank/
(I think the website is English and German, but I am not sure)

I would go to www.snapfiles.com and go to Freeware tab at the top. Tons of
programs for CD, DVD and Internet etc.

I like CDBurnerXPPro, but they have a couple of other free ones. Also go to:

Look for DVD Shrink to put on 1 disc or DVD Decryptor for burning and
removing protection. No one program does it all now with DVD X Copy having
legal troubles. There new verion has DVD Decryptor as the tool to rip and
burn. All of the above programs are free. Videohelp is the best site out
there for both software and help.
