Hi,

I got tired of having 30 different versions of Arial on my pc last night.
(latin, greek, hebrew, impact, etc).

I need a font organizer; need to be able to delete unwanted fonts.

What *one* would that be Jan? Is there a reason he should click on this
link or should he just trust it is the best one for his needs?

I, also, wish links were not blind ...that is, an id # and a .php
extension....at least explain what is at the end of that link...

as to the request, The Font Thing is likely the best free solution
http://members.ozemail.com.au/~scef/tft.html

"he Font Thing is a freeware program for managing TrueType fonts in
Windows 95, Windows 98 and Windows NT 4.0.

With The Font Thing you can:

Browse installed and uninstalled fonts
Browse fonts in subfolders as a single combined list
View sample text and individual characters in your choice of colours
Change sample text "on the fly" or easily switch between your own
standard text samples
View detailed font information
Print font samples
Associate notes with fonts
Install or uninstall any number of fonts at once
Load (and unload) any number of fonts for temporary use
Copy or delete any number of font files at once
Rename font files to avoid file name conflicts
Filter fonts according to their type
Group fonts into collections for easier management
Use multiple font windows simultaneously for easy font comparison and
management."

(Note that I am neither endorsing or recommending this program, just
passing on a reference to another alternative that may suit the OP...)

FontSort is a trialware util that claims to sort fonts into like types (as
opposed to just listing them).

30 days trial - should be plenty long enough to do what you want

I haven't had the opportunity to try this but thought that this approach
was worth a look....

I'll try this one first. Thanks much.
