I have the retail version of outlook 2002 stand-alone cd which I
purchased a while ago. I am running WinXP Pro SP1.
Within the last 10 months I have installed and uninstalled the program
trying other mail clients also. I never had a problem when I
reinstalled Outlook 2002. It always went fine. Until now.
I went to install it today and this is what happened.
After the install said complete I opened Outlook and this is the first
error message I got:
http://ronnieland.net/error1.gif
I clicked okay and got another error message:
http://ronnieland.net/error2.gif
I think it is looking for the .pst file, not sure, but it can't be
found anywhere. This is the last error message I got:
http://ronnieland.net/error3.gif
I am left with the Outlook program open but only acting as a browser.
No email settings/options to found and under the "File" there isn't
even the "import/export". There are no Outlook shortcuts either such
as "inbox", etc.
As I mentioned I never had this problem before when reinstalling
Outlook.
Any help in fixing this and getting Outlook to run will be greatly
appreciated. Thank you!
