Need new monitor

I need to get a new monitor - one that provides very good resolution and
color for my "Gee, I'd sure like to get some prints made of my edited
scans" project. Given limited space (and money), I'm looking for a 17"
monitor.

I googled for several hours but couldn't find any sites with meaningful
reviews for 17" CRTs. Does anyone know of a site that does review monitors?
Also, any monitor recommendations would be appreciated.

Tom's Hardware (www.tomshardware.com) does reviews of monitors, among
lots of other things. They probably don't have a particularly recent
CRT review up, but I'd imagine the technology hasn't changed much in the
last few years.

My advice would be to simply buy the highest-end Sony Trinitron you can
afford (which, at 17", won't be that expensive these days) -- I've had
several, and they've all been quite good.
