need my computer back

i had some body down load windows xp on my computerand didnt know i had
regerster it now i cant get in my computer and dont have a disk what can i do

You can't go backwards because you don't have your old disk. You currently
cannot go forwards because you don't have your own Windows XP disk. You
could solve this dilemma by purchasing your own XP disk.

You may or may not be able to install that new XP over what is currently on
the drive - meaning you may have to do a clean install and after the
operating system is in, reinstall all of your programs. Options available
depend on what version your friend installed and the source of the CD.
