Need multiple ways to connect

I am running XP Pro on my laptop and W2K on my desktop
and another laptop. I need to be able to connect to the
Internet through my desktop when I am plugged into the
LAN but be able to dial directly when unconnected.

The Wizard does not seem to support this configuration.
Any help with this would be great.

Select the menu item Tools-Internet Options and then
Click to expand...
select the connections tab within Internet Explorer. In
the middle of the dialog box is the option to connect to
the internet via a modem when a network connection is not
available.
