need motherboard recommendations

Hi All,

I am looking for a 975 based motherboard to run a
core 2 duo processor. Supermicro decided not to support
the 975 (only 965 -- rats!).

Does anyone have a recommendation for a HIGH QUALITY
motherboard? At least as high as Supermicro?

Have you thought to Google - perhaps the answer is there.

Youre best boards are ABIT or A-OPEN and if they support 975,TYAN.TYAN
is second to none,the only problem is they taylor to server boards,but they
do
make a great board...

For sure, Intel has a 975-chipset motherboard available from its
current line but it must be above a specific revision number for
the Core 2 Duo CPU's. Visit the Intel website...the information
is there.

Rumor has it that ASUS also has a 975-chipset motherboard that is
due to be released shortly. In the ASUS newsgroup on USENET, there
was a recent thread that summarizes the motherboards that might be
used with the Core 2 Duo CPU's. Or do a Google search and match a
link to one of the extreme gaming sites.

Asus do a range of P5XXXs socket LGA775 - they are core 2 duo ready and Msi
have a couple of 975x chipsets 775 pin.
