need major help with outlook express 6

multiple things happening at once.
1-just set it up again after having to reset computer. Was on line with
provider so I know all the ins and outs are correct. Went to sent test mail,
clicked the "Create Mail" button and got an error message "There was an error
opening this message. An error has occurred." I tryed uninstalling it
through windows components in add and remove with no change. Now I have two
of every email in my in box and am unable to delete any messages. Does
anyone have a suggestion on how to correct this problem without wiping the
machine? Thanks.
