Need help on several issues. I can only launch Internet Explorer about half
the time. My computer comes up with 'virtual memory too low...' What do I do
about that? I am only utilizing 1/2 my hard drive and my computer indicates
that I have unused RAM.

Hi,

Do you have Intel Application Accelerator installed? If so, you need to
uninstall it and install the latest version. The older ones are incompatible
with WinXP and can cause this error message.

If not, then try this: Go to System properties/advanced/performance
settings/advanced tab/virtual memory change and disable the swap file.
Reboot. Delete all instances of pagefile.sys from all drives should any
exist, then reverse the original steps and reenable the swap file. Reboot
once more to finish. See if this helps,

I could not find Intel Application Accelerator on my computer. So I went to
to system properties as you indicated. when I got to virtual memory change,
there was nothing that had swap file on it. The screen had c: drive with
.......mbs and down further had custom checked, and another area that had no
page files with a box not checked. swap file was never an option. Where do I
go from here? Thanks for your help.

Hi,

Sorry, I accidentally used an older Win9x term - swap file, when the proper
term is pagefile. You want to disable the pagefile, reboot, then restart it
and reboot once more.
