Hi, Brian - and JOJO.
It's easy to do because the Context Menu that pops up when we right-click on
the Recycle Bin includes the option to "Delete". Many users click that
instead of "Empty Recycle Bin".
Kind of like throwing the wastebasket out the window, rather than just
dumping its contents. :>(
My Vista does pop up an "are you sure" window that includes the instruction
to "go to Personalization in Control Panel" if you want it back. But that
window might have been added by the SP1 beta. Even with that warning, if
you click Yes, the "how to get it back" instruction disappears along with
the Recycle Bin - and there's no place to click to see it again. :>(
