Need Help !

Hi to all !


I hope that someone can help me or give me some good suggestions.

I seem to have contracted some virus or I think more some kind of 'adware' because every time that I want to start my browser, Internet
Explorer 5, it gets blocked (error) and then it shuts off.... then I noticed that on my desktop there appeared all kind of strange icons
with names like "UIBarlinks, Inibar.ini, Initools" etc.
I tried to delete them (12 icons in total) on my desktop but every time I start to open my browser, am getting those nasty icons back and IE
shuts off!

I already downloaded 'Ad-aware' and wanted to install and run it but because I have Windows 95 installed (on my laptop) I couldn't do it....
Ad-aware only supports Win98 and higher.

Can anyone tell me what kind (what name) of virus, adware or maybe spyware I probably have ?
And how to remove it or any other suggestions how to get rid of it?

Please reply me, if possible, also directly to my e-mail address.

I am desperate... so your help would be greatly appreciated.

You really need to upgrade your OS - win 95 is very old technology now
and has a lot of flaws. Are you running any AntiVirus on the system? I
suspect you'll have trouble finding products which will protect you (but
somebody here will know different I'm sure :-)

Ahhh, a fellow collector of antiquities. :)

I'm just guessing that some browser hijacker drive-by has failed to install correctly on your system. Are you running 95a,
or 95b?
