Hello

What are the IP addresses of the winxp and win2k computer.
You can view them using *ipconfig*. If they are something like
192.168.x.y , then set the IP of the modem in powerbook as
192.168.x.z where z!=y and z is in between 0-254.

Excuse me, I forgot I wanted to share my current internet
connection with the new powerbook foremost. Thank-you. Is
this even possible with the current hardware set-up, or do
I need an AirPort Base that I read briefly about but
wasn't sure of?

Dont know much about Airport thing. Cant you simply attach the device
wirelessly to the router and has access to the Internet.?
