I am trying to develop a worksheet to forecast sales
revenues and need a little help. This sheet needs to
calculate revenues generated by a growing number of
Associates our Company has. The sheet needs to use the
following variables to calculate a monthly revenue number.
1) Number of New Associates joining our organization
Monthly.
2)How many projects we expect them to sell/yr.
3)Average Cost of a project
4)The lead time it takes for an Associate to sell their
1st project (normally 6 months)
5) A multiplier (%) of Associates that we predict will
actually sell projects.

We have three US offices and a Canadian branch which are
recruiting these Associates. The problem I am having is
that each month new Associates are added to the Network,
but are not expected to produce for 6 months. I have a 6
month lag, but also have others that are producing that
month. I don't know how to build a formula that can take
all of this into consideration. Any suggestions are
appreciated.

Thanks,

Keith

Check out Excel's fv function. With a bit of imagination
you should be able to adapt it to your needs.

Cheers
