I have DHCP and a wireless network. The problem is I have
users that are listed and it is assigning them a ip
address. I was looking at WEP and enabled it, they still
got through. I don't think that WEP will prevent them
assigning a ip address, but from accessing my machines.
How do I stop them from getting a ip number? How do I
know if he looked at my files?

Enabling the WEP on the router should prevent someone from
accessing your network from outside your
residence/business. However you have to enable WEP on
both the router and on the PC.

When WEP is enabled the router will still broadcast the
SSID out, but only those machines that have the same WEP
key code will be able to connect to it. Some routers
offer the ability to turn off the SSID broadcast which
makes it more difficult for others to get onto your
network. Additionally do not leave the default SSID
setup, change it to something else to prevent your router
from receiving traffic intended for another router.
