Hello,
I have a Windows Vista Ultimate system hooked up to a Cable Modem via
the Ethernet port. I have a second PC in an adjacent room for the kids.
I would like to share the cable connection with the second PC, but I
also want to be able to monitor, remotely, the second PC's HD and cable
connection. If possible, without leaving my main Vista system running 24/7.
The operating system(s) possible for the second PC are Windows 98SE,
Windows ME, or Windows 2000. Also, I don't have a problem installing an
Ethernet jack (RJ45?) between the two rooms if this is part of an
inexpensive option.
Anyway, what hardware would I need to accomplish this share? Would I
need a switch, a router, or ?
Any recommendations and/or advice would be appreciated,
Steven
