first of all i would like to thank all members that answered my previous
questions over the last years.with there help I have build my db , organized
my work, saved my time.

so far I am the only one user of my db.
planning to share it with 4 other users,I have read about security , and I
access my db thru user level security login and password.but actually I am
still new to security and need some more help

first of all , I am using switchboard manager .
my plann is as follows
1.want the db to chk user on open of the switchboard, if user is not "john
"then
hide the access window ( show only the switchboard form),

2.is is possible to use a form for login and still have the user level
security on the db. i.e.login thru the form instead of the diaglogue of
login.

You should, by default, hide the db window from your users. It is also
possible to disable the "Bypass" (shift) key so that users can't unhide it.
If you apply user-level security then you must use the built-in logon dialog
box.
