From Plun:
First houseclean your PC with CCleaner and remove all temporarily junk.
www.ccleaner.com

Also include Lavasofts Adaware to your spyware protection.
http://www.download.com/Ad-Aware-SE-Personal-Edition/3000-8022-10399602.html?tag=list

Install Adaware and "Check for updates".

Restart in safe mode, press F8 during reboot just before Windows
flag screen appears.

Scan again with MSAS and Adaware, choose fullscans.

Restart

Hi Andre

3 "If"s: (maybe private nature but I believe more posters agree in
this)

If you like my advices ;) feel free to share
those with your own name.

If I write something "rubbish" and only recommend standard tools it
belongs to the community ;)

If it is more complicated procedures it might be a good
idea to have a reference to the original poster.

Happy spyware hunting !

I'm having the same problem. It stops when it gets to
this path...
c:\documents and settings\administrator\ntuser.dat
I have to reboot to get my computer unfrozen. It happens
whether I run it manually or automatically scheduled.

Thank you Plun, will do. :)
