need help with scanner

i have no idea what so ever how to put a picture
on the scanner and send it to my friends! so please
somebody, anybody i need help!
Do not make fun of me okay?
i'm a quick learner though!

Until you're more familiar with what your scanner can and can't do:

Scanner settings: 72dpi is adequate for email and web page pictures and it
produces reasonably sized image files.

Scan the picture and save it to a file.
Compose your email and attach the saved image file to it.

Don't make fun of you?! Why should I not make fun of someone who can't even
RTFM - if you were that quick a learner you'd have figured it out by now by
RTFM *AND* posting to the correct group - see the word 'scanner' in the
group topic anywhere?!
