i need to know what type of RAM is on my computer weather
it be PC2700 or whatever. At the moment i have 256MB RAM
and i want to upgrade. SO i need to know what type is in
my computer so i can add more RAM to that which i all
ready have. Can anyone help me?

You can download either or both of these programs for free.
They will report on your system, including hardware and
software installed. The Bel Arc Advisor is simpler to use,
the AIDA32 program is more powerful. Either will work for
your need.

BonkaFonk, in order for someone to help you with your
RAM situation, you need include the specifications of
your computer (i.e. proccessor speed, motherboard type).
If you do not know what your specifications of your
computer are, then go on to the manufacturer's website,
be it hp.com or dell.com, whatever type of computer you
have. The thing is, you will have to know the model of
you computer as well. For example it could be a Dell
Dimension 2300, or and HP Pavillion. You can easily find
that out however, be it the manual or your reciept.
Once you find the specs of your computer, than people
will be able to help you.

p.s. EXCELLENT NAME!

The chip may have it on, but why not just buy new ram since you may end up
having a problem with the old and the new memory. Look on ebay or check
with the local computer retail stores and buy it when on sale. Ram is so
cheap that a single 512 would be the way to go.
